Adriana has worked at Charles River Development as a Sr. Software Engineer in the Burlington, MA. office. She develop credit derivatives trading functionality for the Charles River Investment Management System (CRIMS). CRIMS is an n-tier application with a C# and .NET front-end, J2EE middle-tier.
During her time in Charles River, Adriana developed java API to allow client applications to sell swap orders taking advantage of existing web services. The API allows for easy validation of orders and allows for orders placement from the application C# client as well as from other clients using XML requests via SOAP or a queuing service. Also she uncovered integration issues at early stages of the project by organizing demos and gathering requirements from/to different development groups (positions, securities, compliance, data exports). As a result design issues were corrected before implementation was started.
Earlier she worked six years for Fidelity Investments as a Sr. Software Engineer. As part of her responsabilities she was in charge to provide technical leadership to software development teams and design financial services software solutions for internal and external customers. She was involved in areas such as: Solaris/Linux Development, Systems Analysis, Client application development, and Technical leadership.
She also worked for American Financial Systems as a Software Engineer. She developed software for the retirement benefits market (Windows environment/VB programming language/VSS source control), Analyzed and improved efficiency and performance of algorithms and data interchange between applications. Adriana was also in charge of developing a reporting application that integrated seamlessly into MS Word (Using VB for applications), and provided technical recommendations to account managers oriented to develop product enhancements.
